Shivaji Nagar is a locality in Bangalore, India. It was named after the 17th century Maratha king Shivaji, since he spent his childhood days there.[1] Shivaji Nagar is a part of Bangalore Cantonment.
In the centre of shivaji nagar, a shivaji circle is present. It include cantonment regions like Broadway road, Russel Market, Seppings road.
Opposite Russel Market, St Mary's Basicilla exists surrounding it, in the vicinity there are various mosques like Lubby Masjid, Lal Masjid etc.
Shivajinagar is popular for its vicinity with the famous shopping hub - Commercial Street, the nearby political offices and news paper publication houses.
