Kumar Gaon, also known as Gamiripal, is a village in Jamugurihat, in the state of Assam in India. The village is located at the west bank of Brahmaputra River towards the town of Jamugurihat.

Gamiripal BridgeEdit

Gamiripal bridge is a pre-stressed concrete road bridge, The bridge spans the Ghiladhari River, a major tributary of the Brahmaputra River. The bridge connects Gamiripal village to rest of the villages.[1]

Natya MandirEdit

Natya Mandir is a community hall in Gamiripal which was created by the Red Horns Division of the Indian Army under Op Sadbhavana Project 2018-19.[2]

DemographicsEdit

Gamiripal has a population of 1113, among them 573 are male and 540 are female as per the 2011 Population Census. The population of children aged 0–6 is 96, or 8.63% of the total. The average sex ratio is 942, lower than the Assam state average of 958. The child sex ratio for Kumar gaon (Gamiripal) is 920,[3] lower than Assam's average of 962.

ClimateEdit

Gamiripal or Kumar Gaon[4] has a moderate to warm climate in summer and in February is slightly chillier, with the temperature during the period around 18 to 23-degree C.
