Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein (English: Through Gestures) was an Indian television series that premiered on 15 July 2019 on Sony Entertainment Television. The show is created by Qissago Telefilms LLP and produced by Ishrat Ara and Zama Habib which stars Mudit Nayar, Simran Pareenja and Debattama Saha in lead roles. The story was set in the alleys of Chawri Bazar, Old Delhi. Indian Idol 10 finalist Ankush Bhardwaj also lent his voice to the title track of this show Ek Chup Tum, Ek Chup Main. It is available on SonyLIV.

The series halted on 30 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 crisis, and later was announced that the show would not be coming back post the coronavirus pandemic. The show was last aired on 31 March 2020 with 187 episodes.

Plot

Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein is the story of Yogi, a hearing-impaired man whose spirited way of handling his own disability and the acceptance of the same by his family is inspiring. While the world has not been transitioned from "disabled" to "differently abled", Yogi sets an example by celebrating life to the fullest. He wants to fall in love, marry and lead a jubilant life. This story traces his boy to man journey of falling in love, getting his heart broken and finding love in the most unexpected corner. Love; that is not like him but that completes him.

Yogesh Shrivastava (Yogi) live in a beautiful house in old Delhi along with family including his father Prakash Shrivastava, mother Kusum Shrivastava, grandparents Om and Geeta Shrivastava, brother Vivek, sister-in-law Rani, sister Khushi. Prakash nephew Kabir and his wife Nisha also live with them. Yogi is the apple of everyone's eye. Yogi is deaf and dumb since birth but never lets his disability make him lag behind in any way. He is very jovial and lives life to the fullest. He is able to lip read wonderfully and often understands things like any normal person. He loves playing football but often gets scolded by Prakash who continually tells him to focus on their electronic repair shop. Yogi's brother Vivek is a radio drama artist while his sister-in-law Rani is a school teacher. His cousin Kabir is an investment banker. Even after his father's continuous lectures to focus on their shop, Yogi often ends up day dreaming. One day, while working in the shops he sees a beautiful girl, Gunjan Sharma passing by. He falls in love at first sight and follows her until he collides with a girl, Dr. Parineeti Ganguly (Pari) riding a scooty outside their colony. He misses the chance to meet Gunjan, while Pari being in hurry picks up her scooty and goes away accusing him unaware that Yogi is deaf and dumb. Next day, Yogi again follows Gunjan passing by his shop. He is mesmerized by her beauty and follows her until he again collides with Pari's scooty again at the same place. He again misses meeting Gunjan. This time Pari confronts him and asks for a hefty amount for damages caused her scooty. He even blackmails Yogi that if he did not give her the money she will accuse him of teasing her in front of the public gathered. While she was busy talking to a man in the public, Yogi quietly escapes from there leaving Pari baffled. After a few days, Yogi's happiness knows no bounds when he gets to know that his marriage has been fixed by her parents to the same girl he has been following these days. Yogi and his parents visit Gunjan's house. Gunjan belongs to a very wealthy family. Her mother's name is Seema and her father, a government officer, Shiv Kumar Sharma is Prakash's childhood friend. It is revealed that Gunjan lost his voice when she was young, in an accident, and therefore cannot speak. Yogi and Gunjan bond at their first official meeting. Yogi's father strictly tells him to not meet Gunjan before marriage. One day, when Gunjan was passing by their house in a rickshaw, Yogi follows her on his cycle. Unlike before, Gunjan is aware about it and appreciates his effort. His happiness is short-lived as he again collides with Park's scooty. Pari gathers people so that Yogi can't escape this time. Yogi tries to explain her that he is deaf and dumb but she does not listen believe him . Gunjan tries to help him but when he sees Prakash coming and she quickly escapes in the rickshaw as Yogi and she were not supposed to meet before marriage. Prakash intervenes in Yogi and Pari's fight. Prakash tells Pari that Yogi indeed can't speak or hear. But this does not change her mind. She still manages to take money from Prakash for Yogi damaging her scooty which indeed was not so damaged. Prakash blames Yogi for the money he had to give away to Pari. Pari revealed to be a very bubbly, modern girl and a dedicated doctor. She is from Kolkata and loves Bengali food. He often goes partying with her friends and also likes drinking occasionally. Because of her habit of coming late night from parties, her land lord throws her luggage out of the house. While she was riding the scooty with all her luggage, she collides with Yogi's grandfather Om Shrivastava. He gets a bit injured and Pari offers to drop him home. When they reach home, Yogi and Prakash identify her. While she was inside the house doing Om's dressing, her luggage disappears from her scooty. She creates a big scene in front of the entire neighbourhood. Her pleas melt Om and Geeta's heart and they allows her to stay with them as a paying guest. However, Yogi and other family members are against the idea. Finally Pari is given Yogi's room which is on the terrace and Yogi has been shifted to the drawing room. Yogi is terrified to see Pari working in the hospital when he secretly tries to meet Gunjan there. Pari collides with Yogi and Gunjan while walking in the corridor and the three of them fall, Pari again creates a scene claiming Yogi of following her everywhere in front of his in-laws. Khushi and Yogi somehow control the situation. Initially at loggerheads, Yogi and Pari eventually become friends when Pari offers to make Yogi meet Gunjan in her hospital. Pari even saved Yogi and Gunjan from embarrassing situations and helped him propose to Gunjan. Slowly, Pari begins to bond with the entire Shrivastava family. One day, Pari overhears that she would have to go from the house when Yogi will marry because Gunjan and he will live in Yogi's room. Pari gets scared and tries to convince Gunjan to allow her to live in the Shrivastava house who in turn convinces Yogi. Yogi shifts Pari with her sister, Khushi. On the day of the engagement, Pari accidentally wears the engagement ring for Gunjan following a hilarious set of events in which Yogi tries to chop Pari's finger, Gunjan pretends to faint, Pari roaming around wearing surgical gloves in the house full of guests. Pari and Yogi's friendship grows stronger after this incident. In between the wedding celebrations, Rani behaves strangely. Yogi overhears a conversation between Rani and Vivek in which Rani reveals that her uncle who molested her in her childhood is invited at Yogi's wedding. Later Yogi promises Rani that he will not let anything happen to her. Yogi's family who is unaware of this welcomes Rani's uncle with a warm heart. When Yogi finds Rani's uncle going into Rani's room, he warns him. Later, Pari schools Rani's uncle for looking at her inappropriately. Rani's uncle is attracted towards Khushi and tries to come close to her. She reveals in front of the entire family that he was watching her while she was changing. Rani and the women of the house beat him up and he is thrown out of the house. Rani's parents are also asked to leave the house because Rani's mother knew about all this but still kept quiet for the sake of family's reputation. At the pre-wedding photoshoot Yogi runs and saves Gunjan from a falling chandelier in the nick of time. However, Shiv Sharma gets angry as Yogi could have shouted and saved Gunjan much before but since he can't speak he put Gunjan's life in danger. He thinks that Yogi is not a suitable match for Gunjan and cancels the wedding on the day of the wedding. Yogi is heartbroken but he does not let it show to cheer up the family, but Pari sees him crying like a child in the van parked outside their house and feels apathetic towards him. The Srivastava family angrily cuts ties with the Sharmas. A day later, Yogi goes to meet Gunjan to check on her, but is stopped by an arrogant Shiv. Shiv warns Yogi several times and finally has him arrested for nearly assaulting him. When the Srivastavs here about this, Prakash vents out on Yogi and subsequently gets a stroke. Yogi and his family and friends rush him to the hospital. On the Yogi clashes with Gunjan. Rani and Khushi yell at her for what she did to Yogi and warns her to get lost. At the hospital, Prakash becomes conscious. Shiv's wife Seema goes to meet Prakash and Yogi, but is shunned by Rani, Nisha, Khushi, and Kabir.

The family later learns that Gunjan was already going to marry Roshan, the son of Pradeep Chauhan, a real estate investor. Hearing this, Yogi is devastated. But Pari convinces him to try one last time and stop Gunjan's engagement but Gunjan being an obedient child refuses to go with Pari and Yogi and gets engaged to Roshan. Heartbroken, Yogi decides to move on in life. Slowly, Pari and Yogi become close friends and even drinking buddies. One day Yogi enters the bathroom without knocking only to find Pari inside who throws things at him and schools him in front of the entire family. Yogi feels guilty and visits Pari at the hospital where he befriends Dr. Neha who is Pari's best friend. Pari feels frustrated when Pari and Yogi flirt with each other. Later, Yogi and his brothers get drunk to celebrate his break up. Meanwhile, Pari somehow convinces Rani and Nisha that there is no harm in drinking once in a while. Rani gets drunk and is controlled by Vivek while Yogi drags Pari to her room. Yogi threatens Pari that he will reveal this to Prakash who in turn blackmails him to reveal to Prakash that he too hot drunk. Pari's bonding with the family grows day by day. Kusum gifts Pari a dress for Diwali, Pari is happy that finally she is receiving the love which did not get from her parents. Pari promises to help Khushi, Rani and Nisha with the Diwali preparations but has to rush to the hospital to assist in an emergency surgery. She leaves the house promising to return till the time of Puja but she gets stuck at duty as cases keep coming up. Finally when Pari is about to leave the hospital, the nurse informs her that she needs to attend an emergency patient who has suffered burns as no other doctor is available at the moment. Though excited to celebrate Diwali, Pari gives priority to her duty and stays back. She is shocked to learn that the patient is Gunjan who suffered burns in her hand as her duppatta caught fire from a Diya. Meanwhile, Yogi's family gets worried for Pari as she is too late and send Yogi to pick her up. Pari does Gunjan's first aid but treats her with contempt and even taunts her for her betrayal. Yogi watches Gunjan wincing in pain and contrary to Pari and Gunjan's expectations, he completely ignores Gunjan and takes Pari with him. On the way, he asks Pari about Gunjan who tells him she will get will soon. At home, while burning crackers, an accident happens in which Pari faints and suffers a burn in her hand. Yogi carries her inside the house and does her first aid. Pari blames Yogi in front of everyone as she winces in pain since he was roughly applying the medicine on her hand. Yogi signals her that he told her to be careful while burning crackers but she did not listen to him and she misinterprets it thinking that Yogi is taking revenge from her for what she did to Gunjan. Next day, Yogi and Pari reconcile and Pari learns that Yogi was learning online, how to tie a bandage. Pari casually tells him that from now on, he will only change her bandage unaware that she was actually foreshadowing. Same day, Pari's mother lashes out at Yogi's mother on a video call. An angry Yogi conveys to her that he is Pari's boyfriend. Pari as a revenge makes fun of Yogi when asked to draft a matrimonial ad for him but later ends up writing good things about him. On seeing Pari struggling to carry a box full of research with her to the hospital because of her injury, Kusum asks Yogi to drop her who in turn only kick starts the scooty for her. Kusum asks Yogi to at least sit behind her holding the box but seeing Yogi's lack of courtesy, she refuses the offer and her scooty collides with Yogi's bicycle parked ahead. Yogi gets angry on her for being so stubborn and decides to drop her himself seeing her inability to drive. In the hospital, Pari bashes a pregnant patient's mother-in-law for calling Yogi unlucky. Seeing Yogi and Neha having fun at the hospital, Pari asks him to leave. At the same time, a dead patient's relatives starts beating up doctors and create havoc in the hospital. Pari tries to calm down the situation by showing them the terms that they signed before the operation and tells them that they can't hold the doctors responsible. However, they don't listen to her and matter gets out of control. Pari sees Neha and the pregnant patient coming out of her cabin and runs to save them telling them to go inside. But one of the angry relative of the dead patient frees himself from the clutches of the security and pushes Pari and she and the pregnant women fall on the ground. Pari slaps him in retaliation who in turns holds her burned hand brutally with the intention of hurting her. The other doctors are not able to rescue Pari who cries in pain. However, Yogi returns as he had forgotten his phone in the hospital and saves Pari by beating the havoc creating gang. When situation goes out of control Yogi and Pari hide in the OT. The news of the hospital is broadcast on TV and the Shrivastava family gets worried for Yogi and Pari who do not answer their calls. Yogi observes that Pari's hand is severely injured and immediately tends to it and changes it dressing. Realising they are locked, Pari tells Yogi to break the door. Initially Yogi takes it as a joke but later gets worried seeing Pari panic. He questions her that is it because of her hand, Pari refuses and tells him that she is claustrophobic. She tells him that her parents used to lock her in her room when she was young and go out with their friends. Yogi hugs her to calm her down and seeing her worsening condition, takes her out via an AC duct. The doctors go on strike but Pari goes against the staff and treats the patients along with Neha. Yogi appreciates Pari's dedication and helps her. Finally, Yogi and Pari reach home safely surviving the disastrous day. Pari's mother sends her a suitor but Pari makes him run away telling him that she loves Yogi. Later, Yogi refuses to take Pari along with him to a trip to Surajkund. Pari mistakenly reveals to Prakash about the trip and Yogi gets into a heated argument with Pari in which she confesses her love to him. Yogi is shocked but is taken away by Rani for some work, before he could react. While Pari regrets confessing her feelings disrupting their friendship, Yogi is seen looking at Pari's pictures in his phone the entire night. Pari's parents pay a visit to take her home but she refuses. Yogi tries to avoid Pari everywhere unless she comes to treat Nisha who falls unconscious by Yogi's side. Yogi however leaves from there too. Seeing Yogi's cold behaviour, she agrees to go. When Rani and Kusum ask Yogi to gift Pari a saree, he leaves the room in anger only to collide with Pari at the door resulting in both of them to fall and get hurt. Rani is irked by Yogi's extreme behaviour towards Pari and confronts him for being in love with her. She advices him to reveal his love before it is too late. After a heartfelt confession,Yogi and Pari begin to date. Rani,Vivek and, Dadaji and Dado are extremely delighted to learn about their relationship. Everything is going good until one day, Shiv Kumar Sharma gets a heart attack, then when Prakash heard about it, he went at the hospital and reconciles with Shiv. In return, Prakash promised Shiv that Yogi will marry Gunjan. Then the next day, Prakash asked Pari to stay away from Yogi's life as he will be married to Gunjan. Hearing it, Pari is helpless, sad, and broken. Then she left the house of Shrivastav for Yogi's marriage and happiness. After Yogi and Gunjan got married, Yogi does not like Gunjan since he already love Pari, and still visits her. Then, after hearing that Yogi is leaving Gunjan at their home for Pari, Kusum asked Pari to leave Delhi, and never come back or contact Yogi again. Then after what Kusum said, Pari did what Kusum said to her. After that, Nisha knew that Kabir is having an affair with another woman, after revealing it to Rani and Vivek, Yogi also heard it from Gunjan. Nisha, Yogi, and Vivek went to the hotel where Kabir and his other woman is staying, and the three of them caught Kabir cheating. After being stressed, Nisha, who was pregnant at that time, fainted. After being at the hospital, Yogi saw Pari again. Then Kabir says sorry to Nisha and to all of the Shrivastav's for his mistakes, and promises to take care of Nisha and his baby. After seeing all of that, Yogi remembers Gunjan, and he went home. Yogi says sorry to Gunjan for his mistakes, and for his anger to her. And everything was solved at the Shrivastav's. Months later, Shiv bought Yogi and Gunjan a honeymoon package to Mumbai, and both of them went there, and enjoyed everything. Then, one night, Gunjan fainted, and Yogi called the Hotel Staff to call a doctor. The Hotel Staff called the doctor available at the hotel. And Yogi was shocked when he learned that the doctor available was Pari. Then, earlier morning of the next day, Gunjan told Yogi that she is pregnant and Yogi will be a father. After the whole Shrivastav's and the Sharma's heard about it, they are so excited, but is shocked when they knew that the doctor who checked at Gunjan was Pari. Then, the two returned at Delhi. The whole Shrivastav's and Sharma's are shocked since Pari returned to Delhi. It was said that Gunjan, Prakash, and Shiv planned all of this. Kusum and others are happy, meanwhile Seema and other members of the Shrivastav's are disappointed and shocked in the return of Pari as they'll thunk that she will be a third party to Yogi and Gunjan's relationship. After that, everyone gathered at the living room to talk, and while Pari is preparing the plates, Khushi came at the kitchen and vented her anger to Pari since she left Yogi helpless.
