Raiganj University is a Government of West Bengal-sponsored university in Raiganj, North Dinajpur district.[3] It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, Science and Management.

Raiganj College (University College) was elevated to the status of a state-government-funded university on 3 February 2015, and, subsequently, the institution came to be known as 'Raiganj University'.[4] Notable Students of Raiganj College (University College) include (Late) Priyaranjan Dasmunshi, politician, and the Former Minister of the Government of India, the mathematician Narayan Chandra Ghosh.
