Nikhil Vijay is an actor and writer who is known for his performances in web series such as United Kacche, Gullak, The Aam Aadmi Family, and Hostel Daze and he was recognized for his work as a comedy writer on the TVF-produced show Gullak, receiving an award for his contributions.
Personal life
Nikhil was born in Nagpur, Maharashtra to Vijay Motghare and Tanuja Dhaware Motghare. He attended RPVV Senior Secondary School and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology (Hon) from SGTB Khalsa College and the University of Delhi.
Career
In the beginning of his career, Nikhil wrote scripts for street plays and earned a modest income of 1200 rupees. He also worked at a call center to support himself during this time. Nikhil's career began with appearances in television commercials, including his debut as a delivery boy in an advertisement for Dairy Milk Chocolate.
Nikhil's first writing credit came in 2019 with the TV show Gullak, for which he received the Best Writer award. He also appeared in the 2017 comedy drama TV series The Aam Admi Family. In 2019, he played the character Jatin (aka Jhantoo) in the Amazon Prime web series Hostel Daze.
Controversies
In 2017, He posted a message on Facebook related to an issue at BHU, which led to a significant amount of trolling and multiple complaints being filed against him on the platform. As a result, his Facebook account was blocked.
