Chaitanya Tamhane is an indian filmmaker known for his award winning feature films like Court and The Discipline.Court is Tamhane's directorial debut for a feature length film.For Court, Tamhane was selected for best screenwriter at the ninth Asian Film Awards and won best Director at the sixteenth Mumbai Film Festival,other than this tamhane wins several awards for his short films as well.[1][2]Tamhane's second directorial feature, The Disciple (2020) premiered at the 77th Venice International Film Festival.[3] At Venice, the film won FIPRESCI award presented by the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI, short for Federation Internationale de la Presse Cinematographique)ref>"Venice Film Festival 2020: Chaitanya Tamhan's The Disciple wins FIPRESCI award".
