The Archies is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language teen musical comedy film based on the American comic book series of the same name produced by Tiger Baby Productions and directed by Zoya Akhtar,[1][2] starring Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi Saigal and Yuvraj Menda.[3] It is scheduled to release on 7 December 2023 on Netflix.[4]
Premise
Set in 1960s India, Archie and the gang navigate romance, friendship and the future of Riverdale as developers threaten to destroy a beloved park.

Production
The production of the film began on 18 April 2022 during the COVID-19 pandemic.[7][8] The film concluded on 19 December 2022.[9]
Music
The music of the film are composed by Ankur Tiwari, The Islanders, Dot. and Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, while the lyrics are written by Javed Akhtar, Ankur Tiwari & Dot.. The first song titled "Sunoh" was released on 19 October 2023. The second song titled "Va Va Voom" was released on 3 November 2023.

Marketing
The cast announcement for the film was released on 14 May 2022 by Netflix.[10] The teaser of the film was released a month later on 17 June 2022. The teaser received mixed reviews.[11] The teaser trailer of the film was launched on 18 June 2023 in the Tudum 2023 event held in São Paulo. It was accompanied with a dance performance by the cast.[12] The official trailer releasing over a year later on 9 November 2023.[13]
