Sydapuram or Saidapuram is a village in the Sydapuram mandal located in Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh, India.

History

Nellore district formed part of the composite Madras State till 1 October, 1953. On 1 November 1956 when the states were reorganized on a linguistic basis, this district came under the Andhra Pradesh State.[1]

In 1970 Prakasam district was formed from parts of Guntur, Kurnool, and Nellore districts.[2]

Tirupati District formed from a part of old Chittoor district and a part from old Nellore district on 4 April, 2022.[3]

The name of Nellore district has been changed as Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore District on 4 June, 2008. [1]

Geography

Saidapuram is located at 14°10′00″N 79°44′00″E / 14.1667°N 79.7333°E / 14.1667; 79.7333.[4] It has an average elevation of 23 meters (78 feet).
