Khallikote University at Berhampur (KUB), is a collegiate state public university with intensive research activities established by Government of Odisha and recognised by the University Grant Commission (UGC).

It was established as the first cluster University in the state of Odisha on 30 May 2015 under Rashtriya Uchhatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) in exercise of powers conferred by subsections (1) and (2) of the Odisha University Act, 1989 (Odisha Act 5, 1989).[2][3] On 26 February 2020, Government of Odisha in exercise of the powers conferred by subsections (1) and (2) and clause (g) of the sub section (3) of section 32 of the Odisha University Act, 1989 (Odisha Act 5, 1989) altered the Khallikote University to a Unitary University.[4]

At present, the University is functioning in its transit campus at Gmax Building, Konisi, Berhampur, Odisha 761008[5]

Academics

The University  offers Post Graduate (PG)  in six interdisciplinary subjects through its six PG Departments Department of Biosciences and Bioinformatics, Department of Natural Resources Management and Geo-informatics, Department of Library and Information Science, Department of Economics and Management, Department of Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management and Department of Mass Communication and Media Technology.
