Sreedharan an honest and kind hearted lorry driver lives a normal and peaceful life until his friend Ravi starts interfering in his life.
Plot
Movie starts with Amman(Abu Becker), a tea seller being scolded by his angry wife Ammini(Mavellikara Ponnamma) for giving Sreedharan(Murali) a room for spending a night with a prostitute Janaki(Bindu Panicker) in their house. When Amman wakes them up Sreedharan becomes angry and send him away. He then gives extra money to Janaki after knowing her family problems. Ravi( Manoj K. Jayan) and Kunjali(Mamu Koya) are Sreedharan's best friends. Both are like younger brothers to him. Ravi is a selfish womanizer who uses women just for his lust. Ravi has an ongoing affair with Amman's daughter Sumathy(Beena Antony). Sreedharan knows all this but he ignores this because he thinks Ravi is not a bad man he is just a little naughty.
Govindanashan(Oduvil Unnikrishnan) is like a father to Sreedharan. He calls him Ashan(means guru). One day Aashan asks Sreedharan to marry his only daughter Radha(Suvarna Mathew) who he thinks likes Sreedharan. Sreedharan becomes very excited and he starts dreaming a happy life with Radha. But one day when Sreedharan visits Ashan's house along with Kunjali he catches Ravi coming out of Ashan's house after having sex with Radha. He beats Ravi and asks Radha about it. Radha tells him that they are in love and she can only marry Ravi as Sreedharan is like an elder brother to her. A heartbroken Sreedharan agrees to this. The next day Sreedharan refuses to Ashan and tells him to get Radha married to Ravi as they are in love. Sad Ashan agrees to this as he loves his daughter very much.
The next day Sreedharan along with Ravi and Kunjaali goes for a loading work in his lorry. He stops at Amman's tea stall at night for some refreshment. Sreedharan goes for drinking alcohol while Ravi goes to Amman's tea stall to eat dinner and meet Amman's daughter. Sreedharan drinks alot that night and drives the lorry too fast ending up hitting an Ambassador car. Sreedharan, Ravi and Kunjaali jumps out of the lorry to check and find out two people brutally wounded. Ravi sees their suitcase lying on the road filled with cash. He picks some cash and runs away while Sreedharan is still confused between taking them to hospital or leaving before anyone comes. Kunjaali forces Sreedharan to leave before anyone sees them and they quickly go away.
The next day Sreedharan finds out that both the men inside the car died of that accident. The driver was Amman's brother-in-law who had a daughter.Ravi plans to buy a lorry with that cash but he wants some more cash. Ravi's father is a good for nothing man. He advises Ravi to ask 1 lakh rupees from Ashan as dowry. Ashan becomes very tended after this and asks help from Sreedharan. Sreedharan becomes very angry after knowing this and asks Ravi about this in the market. They both end up in a big fight. Ravi tells everyone that Ashan's daughter Radha is Sreedharan's girlfriend and as now he is fed up of her wants to get her married to Ravi. Days later Sreedharan finds a new job as a lorry driver to a new owner through Janaki.
