Mahanavami is a Kannada teleserial which got aired on ETV Kannada. The serial was pictured in North Karnataka local Kannada dialect and it portrayed the lifestyle of Desais and their family women.[2][3] The serial is based on the novel Iddu illada sambhandhagalu by Rekha Kakhandaki.[4]
Plot
It is a story of a woman named Kaveri, an orphan who was raised by her maternal uncle Sadashiva. She was married to Desai family and she was the youngest daughter-in-law in the Desai family. She leads a lonely life with meager allowance despite the existence of her husband like a virtual widow.[2]
