| The ruling party in the state,[[Trinamool Congress|TMC]] had a landsliding victory by winning 102 out of 108 municipalities. [[Communist Party of India (Marxist)|CPI(M)]] and newly formed Humro Party were successful to win Taherpur and Darjeeling municipality respectively.
