| Arshdeep Singh was born in a [[Sikh]] family to Darshan Singh and Baljit Kaur at [[Guna, India|Guna]] in [[Madhya Pradesh]]. His father was posted to Guna as a member of the [[Central Industrial Security Force]] (CISF) whom he worked for for more than 25 years. The family later moved to [[Kharar, SAS Nagar|Kharar]] near [[Chandigarh]].
