Dev worked with Ajay Devgan in the 1999 action movie Gair and the 2020 historical action movie Tanhaji.[6]

Deo was born on 17 Jan 1964 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to a Marathi film actor Ramesh Deo and actress Seema Deo. He has a younger brother Abhinay Deo.

Deo married his long time girlfriend, Aarti Deo, in 1986.[7]
