| The annual VIVA festival is usually held in December, with intercollegiate competitions in sports, literature, culture, and technology. College Day follows the festival. The 2015 VIVA festival was held on 21 and 22 December. Nearly 5,500 students participated in competitions during the festival, and [[Vignan University]] chairman Lavu Rathaiah was the chief guest. | Balotsav ({{lang-en|Children's festival}}) is an annual international cultural festival for Telugu children. In 2017, the 26th iteration of the fest was conducted from 12 November to 14 November at VVIT. After it has been launched in 1991, the original organizers decided to cease the fest for 2017. Vasireddy Ramesh Babu, [[convener]] of several previous iterations, during a [[Press-conference|press meet]] said that VVIT expressed its willingness to host the event, and was subsequently given the project. It was organized in collaboration with [[Acharya Nagarjuna University]], [[Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation]], Andhra Pradesh State Road Skill Corporation, and Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society.<ref name="VVIT to host Balotsav 2017">{{cite web|title=VVIT to host Balotsav 2017|url=https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/vijayawada/vvit-to-host-balotsav-2017/articleshow/61106611.cms|website=[[The Times of India]]|access-date=10 November 2017|date=16 October 2017}}</ref> More than 12,000 children took part in the fest.
