Rati Raut was a King of Rati Pargana, a region between Bettiah and East Champaran in the present-day state of Bihar.[1][2] He belonged to a royal family of the Krishnaut clan of the Yadav/Gopa.[3][4]
The zamindar family of Belwarganj Estate is the descendants of Raja Rati Raut.[5]
Jetharia Clan of Bhumihars are believed to be originated from Rati Raut a Gowala(Ahir) [6][7]
Early life
Rati Raut was born on 22 January 1602 in Champaran district, Bihar, into a royal family. His father was the king of a small part of West Champaran. He belonged to the Majhraut clan of Yadava.[8]
