Galiveedu is a village in Annamayya district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Galiveedu mandal of Rayachoti revenue division.[1]

History[edit]

On the eve of the Republic Day, 2022, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh announced the formation of 13 new districts, taking the total number of districts in Andhra Pradesh to 26. The list of proposed new districts included Annamayya district with its headquarters at Rayachoti.[2][3][4]
