In October 2020, just a week before the death anniversary of former prime minister [[Indira Gandhi]], Pannu released a video message through his TV channel urging Indian students to raise pro-[[Khalistan]] slogans and hoisting the Khalistan flag in return for iPhone 12 Mini with pre-installed Punjab Referendum apps and VPN to safely connect with SJF's Voter Registration database circumventing the [[Ministry of Home Affairs]]’ ban.
