Bapatla West (rural) is a village in Bapatla district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Bapatla mandal of Bapatla revenue division.[1]
History
As per Gazettee No. 939, dated the 26 January 2022, the old Guntur district, formed in 1904, was split into Guntur district, Palnadu district and Bapatla district. 12 madals from Tenali revenue division and 13 mandals from Prakasam district was merged into the newly formed Bapatla district. [3]
Geography
Bapatla West is situated to the east of the mandal headquarters, Bapatla,[4] at 15°52′39″N 80°25′07″E / 15.8774°N 80.4187°E. It is spread over an area of 1,590 ha (3,900 acres).[1]
Education
As per the school information report for the academic year 2018–19, the village has a total of 20 schools. These include 2 government, 6 Zilla/Mandal Parishad and 12 private schools.[5]
