Lapandav (translation: Hide And Seek) is a 1993 Indian Marathi-language comedy film directed by Shravani Deodhar and produced by Sachin Parekar and Sanjay Parekar.^[1] The film stars an ensemble cast of Ashok Saraf, Vandana Gupte, Vikram Gokhale, Savita Prabhune, Ajinkya Deo, Varsha Usgaonkar, Sunil Barve and Pallavi Ranade.^[2]

Synopsis

Abhijeet Samarth (Ashok Saraf), the lazy owner of a gymnasium, lives a wealthy lifestyle in Pune along with his advocate wife Asavari (Vandana Gupte) and his collegiate daughter Rasika (Varsha Usgaonkar), who is going steady with a wealthy corporator's son Vikrant Malgude (Ajinkya Deo), also known as Vicky. Abhijeet's advocate friend Anant Mahashabde (Vikram Gokhale) also lives a wealthy lifestyle in Pune along with his wife Ulka (Savita Prabhune), his collegiate son Aseem (Sunil Barve), his schoolgoing daughter Chinu (Sai Deodhar) and his widowed mother (Pratibha Amrute). Their harmonious lifestyle changes hilariously when Abhijeet comes across a love letter apparently addressed to his wife and begins to suspect that she is having an extramarital affair.
