Statue of Subhas Chandra Bose is a 28 feet tall[1] black granite statue of Indian leader Subhas Chandra Bose.[2] It is placed under the Canopy of India Gate in Delhi.[3] Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj is the sculptor. Andhra Pradesh based and Delhi headquartered leading granite company Granite Studio India was selected to consult, research and procure the record weighed and sized monolithic fine black granite block.[4]. Design and construction
Design
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the construction of the Statue of Subhas Chandra Bose in 2021.[2] He said that the statue would be installed in the canopy of India Gate to mark 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav', commemorating 75 years of independence as well as Bose's 125th birth anniversary.[5][6]
