This train is hauled by a Lallaguda-based WAP-7 or Vijayawada-based WAP-4 locomotive from Bangalore Cantonment to Visakhapatnam. Then from Visakhapatnam to Malda Town it is hauled by a WAP-4 locomotive of Santragachi shed. And then from Malda Town to Agartala it is hauled by New Guwahati based WDP-4D locomotive.
