Contests in most years were multi cornered but only winners and runners are being mentioned. Shaligram Yadav of [[Janata Dal (United)|JD(U)]] defeated Yugeshwar Jha of [[Indian National Congress|Congress]] in [[Bihar Assembly Election, Oct 2005|October 2005]].
