| In the [[2015 Bihar Legislative Assembly election|2015]] state assemble elections, [[Ram Vichar Ray]] of [[Rashtriya Janata Dal|RJD]] defeated Raju Kumar Singh of [[BJP]]. In the [[2010 Bihar legislative assembly election|2010]] and [[October 2005 Bihar Legislative Assembly election|October 2005 elections]], Raju Kumar Singh of [[Janata Dal (United)|JD(U)]] won the Sahebganj assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Ram Vichar Rai of RJD. Contests in most years were multi cornered but only winners and runners are being mentioned. Raju Kumar Singh representing [[Lok Janshakti Party|LJP]] defeated Ram Vichar Rai of RJD in [[Bihar Assembly Election, Feb 2005|February 2005]]. Ram Vichar Rai of RJD defeated Nagendra Prasad Singh of BPSP in 2000. Ram Vichar Rai of [[Janata Dal|JD]] defeated Mahachandar Prasad Singh of [[Indian National Congress|Congress]] in 1995 and 1990.
