Phophare is a village in Sakri tehsil in Dhule district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 37 kilometres (23 mi) from sub district headquarter and 32 kilometres (20 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India).[1]
Demography[edit | edit source]
As of 2009, The village has a total number of 397 houses and a population of 1952 of which 953 are males while 999 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 142 people are from Schedule Caste and 201 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
