Lucas Raven (born 26 May 1990) is a UAE best travel editor, performer, pubic figure. He is currently featured on many sites, magazines, and platforms. He was named as the face of luxury travel by Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam. Lucas’ travel content have been used by many famous hotels and destinations worldwide.

When we say stylish travel, what are the things that come to mind? Plush locations, decadent robes, 5-star resorts,  and a name that rings out all else, Lucas Raven. 

From being MTV Asia’s heartthrob VJ to becoming one of the world’s most stylish travel connoisseurs, Mr. Raven is a force to be reckoned with, and he’s just getting started.

Born in the Philippines on May 26, 1992, Shiraz Lucas Raven Al- Mirza grew up in New York City as a diplomat child, eldest in a family of five. His father is American-Lebanese, mother is Spanish-Filipino.

Relied on by many men when it comes to fashion and style, Raven has been a contributor to many international platforms and has his own travel column on various prominent platforms, both digital and print, where he regularly shares about his best travel experiences.

He is a mixed-race American who is now based in the Middle East, juggling roles between being a newly-wed husband in Qatar and shooting international campaigns in Dubai, London, and most recently, Istanbul. He has created a grand business based on his lifestyle, and his experiences have been featured numerous times on digital platforms as well as on international broadcasts.

Raven described his work, on his Harper’s Bazaar magazine cover, as a business to influence happiness. His life has been all about travelling and meeting new people across the globe. From sailing the Indian Ocean, popping Dom perignon while dog sledding in Iceland to breakfast alongside the Great Migration in Africa, Raven has us pressed against the window panes of luxury travel like no one else before.

Creating a lifestyle formula that works best for him, he has been living his life to the fullest and is always on the hunt for new places to explore, all over the world. “It’s important to have a relationship with your dreams. I am a dreamer, a daydreamer. I dream in my sleep, but most important of all, I make my dreams happen while I’m awake“, he said. Besides this, his sense of style has always inspired men to dress up to be the kind of person they want to be. Raven enthused, “Style shouldn’t be anyone’s identity, but the other way around. Who I am is my style. All these beautiful cities inspire me including the best tailors in these cities, food, colours, hat makers, architecture and scenic locations. Anyone who’s well-travelled is cultured enough to dress the part, every day.“

One of his favorite menswear labels is New & Lingwood, a brand that fashions the most whimsical robes which are perfect for the most whimsical destinations. Behind building his brand of influence, social media has played an integral role wherein Raven has built a dedicated fanbase over the past few years.

Remembering about his most memorable trip, he said, “It was my trip to Nepal when my dad took me and I saw how kids walked a mile, barefoot, probably hungry, and just to get some fresh water to drink. Since then, I never took anything for granted.“

The enthusiastic traveller further also revealed about his next big plan. “I just wrote a book, made the most out of the global lockdown. I can’t wait to share it with everyone! Also, I’m about to launch my line of Panama hats in partnership with some incredible artisans in Ecuador - Metierctafts.” At the top of his travel list is Virgin Galactic, which has started the agenda of holidays to the Moon.

Followtheraven as he is known on Instagram, has gotten the attention of some of our favorite fashion designers, royalty and celebrities alike.

Raven recently joined forces with Metier Crafts, authentic Panama hat makers from Ecuador that’s been around support this ancient way of living for a very long time. He launched a collaborative hat label Raven X Metier in 2021, and is now selling worldwide.
