Arumuganeri is a panchayat town at Tiruchendur constituency from Thoothukudi district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.

Four old towns are located on the outskirts of Arumuganeri. They are Kayalpattinam in the east, Veerapandiyanpattinam in the south and Attur in the north. Arumuganeri Kandasamypuram Kayalpattinam Today's Arumuganeri is a collection of four revenue villages in the south and north. It is located at 8.57 North and 78.12 East. In ancient times, the town was part of the Kuda Nadu division headed by Korkai. Town was part of Tirunelveli district till 1986. After 20 October, 1986 it was part of Tuticorin (Thoothukudi) district.

As of 2001[update] India census,[3] The Arumuganeri Town Panchayat has population of 27,266 of which 13,368 are males while 13,898 are females as per report released by Census India 2011.
