Vayasu Pilichindi is a remake of C. V. Sridhar's own Tamil film Ilamai Oonjal Aadukirathu (1978). The same cast of that version were retained for the Telugu remake.[2] It was given an "A" (adults only) certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification. The final length of the film was 4,067.86 metres (13,346.0 ft).[3]
Soundtrack
The soundtrack was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.[4] It was the first Telugu film for him.[5]
