Production
Gigi, a daughter of Gemini Ganesan, made her acting debut, and Ninaivellam Nithya was her only film as an actress.[2]
Soundtrack
The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.[3][4] Many of the songs are set in ragas; "Rojavai Thalattum Thendral" is set in Pantuvarali,[5] "Panivizhum Malar Vanam" is in Nattai,[6][7] "Neethane Enthan Pon Vasantham" is set in Brindavani,[8] and "Kanni Ponnu" is set in Chatusruti Dhaivata.[9] For the dubbed Telugu version Prema Sangamam, Gopi and Veturi wrote the lyrics.[10]
