Aly Goni is an Indian actor working in the Hindi television industry. He is known for portraying Raj Kapoor as a lead in Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan and Romi Bhalla in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.[1][2]
He has participated in reality shows like MTV Splitsvilla 5, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9, Nach Baliye 9, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi – Made in India[3] and Bigg Boss 14.
He made his web series debut with ZEE5's Jeet Ki Zid in January 2021 .
Early life
Aly Goni was born to a Muslim family in Jammu & Kashmir.[4]
Career
In 2012, Aly started his career by participating in the reality show MTV Splitsvilla 5.
In 2013, He made his acting debut with StarPlus's show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein where he played Romi Bhalla till 2019.[5]
In 2015, he played the main lead in Ekta Kapoor's Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan where he replaced Vibhav Roy[6] and the show went off the air in January 2016 due to low ratings.[7]
In 2016, he played the negative role of Kabir Raichand in &TV's Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum.,[8] became presenter for the show Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya.,[9] and later played Virat in Life OK's Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant.
In 2017, he played Sushant in Dhhai Kilo Prem in a cameo role but later on his role was extended.
In 2018, he acted in show Dil Hi Toh Hai. He also played the negative character of Vyom in Naagin 3 .[10]
In 2019, he participated in Colors TV's Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9.[11][12] He also appeared in comedy show Khatra Khatra Khatra.[13] Later, He particiapted in Star Plus's dance reality show Nach Baliye where he emerged as one of the finalists.[14][15]
In 2020, He participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi – Made in India. In November 2020, he entered Colors TV's Bigg Boss 14 as a wild card contestant.[16]
Personal life
In 2014, Goni was dating Serbian model Nataša Stanković but the couple reportedly broke up and was invited to participate as an ex-couple in Season 9 of dance competition Nach Baliye.[17]
Goni met Jasmin Bhasin in 2018 and later they began a relationship when they both appeared on Bigg Boss 14.[18][19]
