Sanjay Ghare is an Indian entrepreneur, investor, and travel technology leader best known as the founder and CEO of Vervotech, a global accommodation data company acquired by Constellation Software.[1] With over 18 years of experience in SaaS and travel technology, he has built, advised, and invested in multiple high-growth companies, including Techspian, Zeal Connect, Guestara, TravClan, and VantisCorp.[2] He is also the host of Candid with Sanjay, regarded as one of the most viewed travel and hospitality podcasts in the world.

Early career

Sanjay began his career in the travel technology space, eventually joining Tavisca Solutions as Vice President. At Tavisca, he built the SaaS division from the ground up and scaled it to customers across more than 15 countries.[3] The company was later acquired by cxLoyalty in 2018, which was subsequently acquired by JPMorgan Chase, where the technology now powers Chase Travel.[3]

Vervotech

Sanjay co-founded Vervotech in October 2018, a bootstrapped travel technology company with the mission of "Organising the World's Accommodation Data." Under his leadership, the company became a trusted name in hotel mapping, room mapping, and accommodation data, serving over 1,000 online travel companies worldwide.[1]

Vervotech was later acquired by Juniper Group, a division of Constellation Software, one of the world's largest software conglomerates.[4] Sanjay continued to lead the company after the acquisition and doubled its revenue within two years.

Other ventures

Beyond Vervotech, Sanjay has co-founded, invested in, and advised several companies in the technology and travel sectors, including:

  • Techspian – A technology services and product engineering firm founded during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Zeal Connect – AI-native travel operations platform that automates hotel reconfirmations and customer support for travel businesses
  • Guestara – AI-powered guest management platform for hotels, resorts, and vacation rentals
  • TravClan – B2B travel platform for travel agents and tour operators
  • VantisCorp – AI-native TMC (Travel Management Company) technology platform

He is also the founder of the Ram Sukrut Kalyan Foundation, a non-profit organisation
