Malkatar is a village in Shirpur tehsil in Dhule district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 43 kilometres (27 mi) from sub district headquarter and 103 kilometres (64 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]

As of 2009, The village has a total number of 482 houses and a population of 2545 of which 1212 are males while 1333 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 15 people are from Schedule Caste and 2495 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
