Chandini Chowdary was born in a Telugu-speaking family in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.[2] She completed her graduation in mechanical engineering from a college in Bangalore.[3]

Before making her film debut, Chowdary acted in a many short films while studying in Bangalore.
