Ahaan Veer Malhotra lives a disciplined and controlled life. Meanwhile Ishqi who comes from a humble background believes in hard work, yet is free-spirited and vibrant in nature. Both Ahaan and Ishqi are poles apart when it comes to their personalities. Both hold a very strong opinion about marriage as well. While for Ahaan a life partner would be the one to uphold his family values and be a homemaker, Ishqi values love above everything else in the world.
"Ishk Par Zor Nahi" is a popular television serial known for its intricate portrayal of relationships and complex family dynamics. The story revolves around Ahaan Veer Malhotra, a no-nonsense businessman who holds family values and ethics dear to his heart. In contrast, Ishqi is a young woman who ardently believes in love and encourages others to embrace it.
They met when Ahaan was going for a meeting and Ishqi asked for lift. She has one couple dressed in bridal outfit. When Ahaan got to know that they are marrying against family, he made them get out of the car. At this moment, Ishqi drove the car and went away with bride and groom who were aged. Ahaan named Ishqi car thief after this incident. In the evening, Ishqi came to his house to say thanks and sorry for 'borrowing' the car. She also handed him a letter. Family members were happy after meeting her. She received a call for job there and felt them lucky except Ahaan. Later, Ahaan get her arrested due to which she goes to his office and breaks glass window there by saying "This Ishqi is Very Risky" as she lost her job because of that police complaint.
Later, Ahaan and family were doing varsi puja of her mother on the day when his mother left home. Ishqi , Sarla's assistant, comes to take measurements for Sonu's engagement ring is considered thief by him but later proves innocent and asks sorry from Ahaan. Ishqi lives with her masi whose drunk masad beats her masi for money.
Later, she calls Mayank(her fiance) but Ahaan picks up her call( as he is Mayank's best friend and address him as his BF) and tells that Mayank is in hospital as his father had a heart attack due to this ishqi gets ready for roka ceremony and wedding for which she previously asked a year. On the day of their Roka ceremony, Ahaan with so many things like chunni and gifts for roka clashed with ishqi while he was on video call with sonu and kartik and start arguments with ishqi. later, a baba ji came and blesses their jodi as they were fighting like married couples Ishqi comments on his age and asked that she won't take chunni from his hands for seven lives and Ahaan said he won't give her chunni for fourteen lives but later do so in Mayank's presence when they know that Ahaan is Mayank's BF and ishqi his fiance. Roka ceremony takes place.

Another day, Ishqi comes to their house to take sonu for shopping later, Ahaan also reaches there as asked by Mayank to do so. It is later revealed that Mayank is Sonu's ex boyfriend and he starts troubling Sonu and also says that he is faking his marriage with Ishqi to make her feel jealous. At this time, Ishqi unintentionally creates disaster and franes Ahaan for that who gets angry. Sonu being afraid rushes out of trial room and their shopping is complete. Later, they all travels back in the same car. Ishqi leaves car when Ahaan's girlfriend asks about her as irritating girl and so on.
Their paths collide when Ishqi seeks a ride from Ahaan but gets ejected from his car when he discovers her role in helping a couple elope. In a surprising twist, Ishqi retaliates by stealing Ahaan's car, leading to charges pressed against her and the loss of her job.
In the evening, Mayank plans dinner for Ahaan and Ishqi so that he can spend time with Sonu saying that he wants them to be friends. Ishqi creates a scene there by calling Ahaan 'baby' i.e. her boyfriend. Angry Ahaan breaks glass of his car which Ishqi also repeats. On the day of Sagai, Ishqi's mausa takes the sagai ring. So Ishqi goes to Purani Delhi to buy a ring same as the previous one. But it's made of brass instead of gold. So at last she comes late at her own Sagai. Everyone scolds her but Ahaan gives her the sample ring which was given by Ahaan's chachi. Later Ahaan also scolds Ishqi knowing that she was at work. Ishqi and Mayank's sagai is rescheduled on the day of Holi. by mistake Ahaan drinks Bhaang and he tells Ishqi that he had prepared the holi party even after he hates holi and he gives ring to Ishqi on his hands then on Next day Kartik tells Ahaan about yesterday  Then one Baba has come as Sarla says then Ishqi and Sonu were talking and Sarla and other family members hear that and Sarla broke the relationship because they were talking about living in a different house topic.Mayank goes to Sarla House and then says that Ishqi will touch her feet and say sorry but Ahaan comes to know truth and rescue Ishqi and is successful. Then Mehndi day arrives and by mistake on Ishqi hand Ahaan name has written. As usual the Sharla creates a scene but the Kartik request mehndi artist to take blame on herself so the sarla can stop blaming ishqi . Next day ishqi goes to malhotra house again where they are doing the rehearsal for sangeet ceremony and everyone is impressed by ishqi's dancing skills. Then mayank's mom inform her to go to the designer to select the dress for function. There she meets riya for the first time and also gives riya her own dress. After that they are leaving together in the lift and it suddenly stops. Riya calls ahaan but he doesn't listen and after that ishqi also calls him and ahaan rushes to save her. Riya is elated on seeing ahaan have come to save her and introduce him as her boyfriend to ishqi. Ishqi is shocked to know this but then she leaves silently. Then she reaches the malhotra house and accidently everyone welcomes her as their daughter in law thinking that riya is at the door. But the confusion is clarified. When ishqi get ready for the function she realised that the dress is very tight but Mayank taunts her in front of everyone that she is very fat and this upsets ishqi but however with help of riya she puts on dress anyhow. Then comes the chance for Mayank and ishqi's performance and while they are dancing ishqi's dress is tore in front of everyone but Mayank leaves her in this condition. Then ahaan rushes with a jacket towards her and protects her honor. When everyone is taunting ishqi for being very fat ahaan again takes a stand for her in front of everyone. And encourage her that she should be the way she is. Then afterwards Ishqi try to talk to Mayank related to his taunts but rushes to her mausi after hearing from ahaan that she went to home in a rush. When ishqi reached home she saw her mausi badly hurt and takes her to hospital.

Ishqi's destiny takes an unexpected turn as she is set to marry Mayank Kapoor, Ahaan's best friend. However, their relationship is a ruse aimed at making Ahaan's younger sister, Sonu, jealous, who is engaged to Raj Rathore. A dark family secret looms over the narrative – the disappearance of Ahaan's mother, Savitri, who Ahaan resents for abandoning the family. It is later revealed that Savitri was wrongly confined to a mental asylum due to Ahaan's grandmother's actions.

The series concludes on a positive note with Sonu's pregnancy and Ishqi and Ahaan, or 'Ishqaan,' remarrying, promising a happier future. "Ishk Par Zor Nahi" explores themes of love, betrayal, and the complexities of family relationships, leaving viewers captivated by its dramatic and emotional storyline.

Production[edit | edit source]

Development[edit | edit source]

The show was in pre-production for a long time. Param Singh signed this show in July 2020, when the production house approached him.[5] Casting for Ishqi's character took a long time and finally Akshita Mudgal signed as Ishqi.[6]

The pandemic's second wave delayed the shoot in mid-April 2021.[7][8] The cast and crew relocated to Daman and Diu. They came back and resumed shooting in Mumbai in the start of July 2021.[9]

Release[edit | edit source]

The first promo of the series was released on 28 February 2021 featuring Param Singh and Akshita Mudgal.[10]
