The '''Allahabad–Jabalpur section''' is a railway line connecting [[Allahabad Junction railway station|Allahabad]] and [[Jabalpur Junction railway station|Jabalpur]]. This {{convert|366|km|mi|0|abbr= on}} track is part of the [[Howrah–Allahabad–Mumbai line]]. ==History==
The [[East Indian Railway]], which had established the [[Howrah–Delhi main line]] via Allahabad, opened the Allahabad–Jabalpur branch line in June 1867. Both the Katni Diesel Loco Shed and the New Katni Junction Electric Loco Shed are located at {{stnlnk|New Katni Junction}}.
