Parambil started his political life as a member of the [[Kerala Students Union]]. While in college, he was the unit office bearer of [[Kerala Students Union|KSU]] and the general secretary of the college union. He was elected thrice to the [[Kerala Legislative Assembly]] in [[2011 Kerala Legislative Assembly election|2011]], [[2016 Kerala Legislative Assembly election|2016]] and [[2021 Kerala Legislative Assembly election|2021]].
