Shirud is a village in Dhule district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 25 kilometres (16 mi) from sub district headquarter and 25 kilometres (16 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]
Demography
As of 2009, The village has a total number of 1671 houses and a population of 8455 of which 4341 are males while 4114 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 512 people are from Schedule Caste and 1445 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
