Majority of people speak [[Ahirani]] language (a dialect of [[Marathi language|Marathi]]). Most of the people in this village are farmers. The popular crops are cotton, Bajra, wheat, groundnut etc.

Javkhede is a village in Shirpur tehsil in Dhule district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 20 kilometres (12 mi) from sub district headquarter and 70 kilometres (43 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]

As of 2009, The village has a total number of 294 houses and a population of 1453 of which 736 are males while 717 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 114 people are from Schedule Caste and 469 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
