Salwan is a village of high historical interest in Karnal District, and one of the biggest village in Karnal, Haryana, India. It contains a tirtha identified as having national importance. The village Is belongs to Zamindar brahmin and Rajput's. The Zamidars of this village is very well fulfilled in their fields. Some of the gangsters are from this village. This village is one of the famous village of Haryana.
