Sara Sajeeda is a 2019 Malaysian-Pakistani television series co-directed by Eoon Shuhaini, Feroz Kader, and Rizwan Zaman. The show stars Anmol Baloch, Tiz Zaqyah, and Arslan Asad Butt. It is a joint venture produced by the Malaysian production company Zeel Production and premiered on TV3 from 03 October 2019, until 25 November 2019.

Plot[edit]

The story follows Sara (played by Tiz Zaqyah), a lecturer at a private college, who is pressured by her father into marrying Megat (Fahrin Ahmad). However, she ends the engagement due to her inability to tolerate Megat's controlling behavior, which mirrors the circumstances of her father's previous decisions made without her consent.

Fawaad (Arslan Asad Butt), a young man originally from Pakistan, returns to his family in Lahore after living abroad. He soon receives an offer to work as an engineer in Malaysia, leaving him torn between reconnecting with his long-lost family and pursuing his career. Ultimately, he decides to embrace a new life in Kuala Lumpur.

Fawaad and Sara meet through a series of events that lead them to develop feelings for each other, culminating in their engagement. However, just before their wedding, Fawaad urgently returns to Pakistan upon hearing about an earthquake that affects his family.

Upon his return, Fawaad discovers that his family is preparing for his wedding, leaving him feeling trapped. Initially resistant to his mother Saima’s wishes, he ultimately agrees to the marriage, while also feeling sorrow for Sajeeda (Anmol Baloch), who has lost both of her parents in a landslide caused by the earthquake.

When Fawaad returns to Malaysia, complications arise as Sara confesses her love for him, creating tension since Fawaad has married Sajeeda without being in love. This situation leads to emotional conflicts and challenges for all characters involved.
