Kangla

The "Kangla" (Old Manipuri: ꯀꯪꯂꯥ, romanized: kang-laa, lit. 'dry land') was the earliest known fortified capital city of Ancient Manipur. It served as the seat of administration of the rulers of many dynasties, right from the reign of Emperor "Tangja Leela Pakhangba" in 1445 BC (15th century BC).
