English: he Temple of Gop is one of the earliest Hindu temples in Gujarat. It dates back to the 6th Century, Maitraka period. It consists of a sanctuary raised on a terrace with carved sides. The passageway and mandapa that preceded the sanctuary no longer exist. The pyramidal masonry roof is crowned by an amalaka and decorated on the sides by arch-like windows.
