From the album "Courtiers and Urchins, frontispiece for the album Brocade Prints of the Thirty-six Poetesses". This poem by Uma no Naishi is written in chirashigaki (scattered writing), where the characters are deliberately written out of order. The first part of the poem is written in the third column from the right, while the second column from the right comes later in the poem.[1] |
