Их обращали в ислам и посылали в Северную Африку. Эти воины стали известны под названием мамелюков, что означает «находящиеся в подчинении». К 1250 году мамелюки свергли монгольскую династию Айюбидов в Египте и правили там до 1517 года. [2]
