English: Professor Dr. Suranjan Das is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calcutta and Honorary Director of the Netaji Institute for Asian Studies, Kolkata. Dr Das is a Professor of History in the University of Calcutta. He obtained his DPhil from the University of Oxford in 1987 for his dissertation Communal Riots in Bengal 1905-1947. This shot was taken at the fifth day of five days duration '10th International Photographic Conference' that organised by the Photographic Association of Dum Dum (PAD) in collaboration with the Birla Industrial & Technological Museum (BITM), National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India at the BITM, Kolkata from 23-27 January, 2014.
