Sir Robert Brooke, portrait miniature by John Smart. Image taken from the frontispiece illustration of "St Helena 1502-1938", by Philip Gosse, published by Cassell & Co., London 1938. In an e-mail of 10/11/2005 Orion Books (who now own Cassell & Co.) say that the image is not theirs but that they no longer have records for the original copyright holder, placing the image in effect in the public domain.
