English: Sheshnag Lake in Jammu and Kashmir, India. – Starting from today would post only pics which my dad has clicked while enroute to famous annual journey of Amarnath Cave where he goes every year to have glimpse of SHIVA LINGAM made naturally of snow .[BEST VIEWED LARGE]
Amarnath has a very famous story related to God Shiva which will be revaealed in coming series of pics. Amarnath Yatra or Journey starts from base camp Pehalgaam from where holy cave is 29 KM on foot where pilgrims have to cross big glaciers also.At the height of more then 14000 feet oxygen levels also dropped and temprature is chilling.More info can be had from www.amarnathyatra.org/ These pics are clicked by Yashica Sport film camera which I have stopped using but dad used it optimally. Some editing of contast and color is also done in software. |
