Description
English: The ongoing exhibiton at the Museum 'M.V. Dhurandhar: The Artist as Chronicler' includes a series on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's life. These are illustrations from books commissioned by Balasaheb Pantapratinidi, Raja of Aundh. These works resulted from the numerous trips Dhurandhar made with Purshottam Mawji, who wrote a history of Shivaji Maharaj’s military and its role during warfare. Dhurandhar has skillfully captured the valour, aura and a humanitarian side of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Swipe to see the following paintings: 1. Tanaji's famous vow during Kondana campaign “Aadhi lagin kondhanyache mag mazya Raybache” 5. Shaistekhan Surprised 6.
