Description

The Boon of Pudding:-

Under Rishyashringa's leadership the sacrifice was successfully conducted. On the final day, a dark skinned deity appeared from sacrificial alter and handed over a vessel of payasam (pudding) to king Dasharatha. He distributed the pudding equally between his three queens.

All the three queens bore sons on due date. Kousalya's son is known as Rama. Sumitra got twins, Laxman and Shatrughna. Kaikeyi got Bharata. The princes got the education and grew up.
