English: The full name of the Ropeway of Darjeeling is Ranjit Valley Passenger Ropeway. It is one of the India's oldest passenger ropeways and connects Darjeeling to Shingla Bazaar. It starts from North point, accommodating six passengers at a time. In its travel the cabin sways above green tea gardens, dense forest, streams and green valley with the view of the Mount Kanchenjunga along its way. This first bi-cable ropeway is the longest of its kind in Asia, and is 4620 mt. long.
